Johnson Creek Smoke Juice Review
I have heard some really great things about Johnson Creek smoke juice and I thought I would give them a try since I have never had any of their e liquid products, and I am always on the hunt for a new e liquid.
They have 2 different varieties of e liquid. One is called Birchwood and the other is called Red Oak blends. The Birchwood comes in the following 5 flavors:
- Tobacco
- Cherry
- Peach
- Menthol
- Vanilla
The Birchwood seems to be their cheap line of juice, since it is packaged in plastic bottles with much less attention to detail in the labeling as well. I ordered the tobacco, cherry, and vanilla to try out from the Birchwood.
The tobacco tasted very fake and chemical like. It almost made me gag when I took my first puff of this flavor and I would definitely recommend avoiding this one at all cost. The cherry wasn't too bad but it didn't taste natural at all. The liquid was also very thin and the clouds weren't too thick. The vanilla was probably the best out of the 3 flavors from the Birchwood Line that I tried but it still wasn't anything to write home about. The vanilla was pretty smooth but it didn't taste too flavorful and I really would have like to have seen some more flavor packed in there. All in all I would say to avoid the Birchwood line unless you are very light on cash and can't afford the Red Oak.
The Red Oak Line is much more extensive and it priced much higher than the Birchwood line too. Here are some of the flavors offered from this lineup:
- Tennessee Cured (tobacco)
- Spiced Apple Cider
- Autumn Crisp (caramel apple)
- Royal Truffle (chocolate)
- Golden Truffle (caramel & chocolate)
- Mint Truffle
- JC Original (tobacco)
- Makana (lime, grape, orange, mango, & lemon)
- Summer Peach (peach & vanilla)
- French Vanilla
- Espresso
- Black Cherry
- Artic Menthol
- Wisconsin Frost
- Vanda (vanilla crème)
- Merango (strawberry)
- Red Oak Tennessee Cured (tobacco & whiskey)
- Marcado (cinnamon)
- Valencia (orange & cinnamon)
- Solstice (watermelon & raspberry)
- Island (coconut & pineapple)
- Domestic (tobacco)
- Tundra (double mint)
- Rainier (cherry)
- Red Oak Silverthorn (Turkish tobacco)
- Gold Reserve (Honey Cured Tobacco with hint of citrus)
- Kiln House Silverthorn (tobacco)
- Genuine No. 22 (Virginia tobacco, barley, earthy nuts, & sweet grain notes)
As you can see, this line has many more options. This is a great thing, but I feel like these guys might have taken it a little bit too far with some of these. I mean who really wants to vaporizer a grain and oat flavored juice, and why is there like 10 different tobacco flavors?
I ordered 2 different tobacco flavors, Autumn Crisp, Mint Truffle, and Island.
Both of the tobacco flavors were decent compared to many other vendors out there but they weren't anything special. I really didn't enjoy either the Tennessee Cured or the Red Oak tobacco.
The Autumn Crips was delicious and sweet but it tasted more like candy. I was expecting more of a natural apple flavor mixed in with the caramel. This one was good!

Mint Truffle was awful. It tasted like the guy accidentally spilled double of the mint flavor in there because it was almost overpowering.
Island was not a terrible flavor but it did have a little hint of a chemical like taste from the pineapple. I am not sure if that little nasty after taste is worth the inhale.
All in all Johnson Creek Smoke Juice is only an average company. Their juices aren't great from what I have tried so far, but who knows if I missed one of their premier flavors with the crazy selection they have.
